What a bright dress! I just finished making this drop dead gorgeous wrap dress pattern by @madelabel_ ✨ This is the Freya Belle Dress made in a Robert Kaufman Cotton Lawn that was gifted by @minervadotcom ❤️I made a size 10 in this pattern and it fits me so well! I love the bias bound neckline and tie straps, it was a little out of my comfort zone to make my own binding and achieve a super neat finish on the neck and ruffle but I'm in love with the final look! I got a hair cut and @dougie.neish and I had a 2nd anniversary 🌹 Another opportunity for me to wear my @madelabel_ #freyabelledress and for Dougie to test out a new camera - it’s a very mutually beneficial relationship (I promise I love him for more than his camera).I’m really proud of this dress, which is completely french seamed throughout (as per the great sew along video you get with the pattern download) and made from Nobody’s Child deadstock ecovero viscose from @rainbowfabrickilburn. As per usual for me, I shortened the bodice by 1” and also added in side seam pockets that are attached to the top of the skirt so they don’t flap around and sag when you put your phone in them which is a game changer (I used the pocket bag from the @tillybuttons #sewingsafiyadungarees). Adding pockets with french seams was a new and fiddly skill but the finish on this whole dress is 👌

New post up on @minervadotcom I know I asked a long time ago for recommendations of what to make with this fabric and @pin_and_pilar suggested @madelabel_ who was a new to me pattern designer. @madelabel_ very kindly gifted me this pattern to use and I felt it was the perfect match for my fabric. Fabric is a very fun and drapey viscose from @minervadotcom that I picked from what was on offer as a #minervaambassador Pattern is the #freyabelledress. I did complete this dress a little while back I was just very behind on typing up my post about it.
