So in love with my new summer skirt! The french seamed frill may have taken me quite a while but it has totally been worth it 😍 … I made this in a wonderfully light viscose poplin from @abakhanfabrics and bought a bit extra so that I can make a matching top too. Thinking a cami or maybe something with a puff sleeve?

I’ve been planning on making this set for ages, but it kept getting pushed to the bottom of my queue. Both were a quick make when I finally got around to it!

Voor dit project werkte ik voor het eerst met Franse zomen, prachtige afwerking! Maar al dat strijken 🤯🤯, ik kan je verklappen; ik heb mijn vingers meer dan een keer verbrand 🤪.
I've wanted a leo wrap skirt for a long time, and that's when I noticed the @madelabel_ pattern. The great thing, the pattern can be downloaded free of charge, including video instructions. My #frankiewrapskirt is sewn from viscose fabric, but next time I would choose a fabric that is dyed on both sides, because the front ruffle folds up a bit 🤷🏼♀️.

This is the #frankiewrapskirt from @madelabel_ and a #bathursttop from @stitchwitchpatterns that I hacked to have a faux wrap back. I made it all out of a printed viscose from @blackbirdfabrics!
This project was cool because I finally had the courage to try a rolled hem on my serger and it worked! I usually don't like to mess with my serger settings too much. So glad I did though, hemming this fraying frill would have been a nightmare otherwise!.
Made Label Frankie Skirt for my upcoming Paris trip. Made this in the size 12, and added 8cm on to the flounce to make it longer. This skirt pattern was also one of the first wearable items I made.
